Dreading the Weekend?

At the end of a long work week we look forward to the WEEKEND! To get out there and enjoy activities we love , connect with friends. Right? Maybe… Depends.

If you are someone who has IBS, the weekend may not bring such positive thoughts. If you are experiencing constipation, bloating, pain, discomfort you might feel more like hiding. You may not be happy with your body image. I know I have had two sets of clothing types, one when my gut was good and one when I experienced distention. It was uncomfortable, did not want to wear clothes with a waist, which also accentuated my protruding abdomen. Looked like I was six months pregnant. Or if you experience diarrhea from you IBS. How can you enjoy going somewhere when you need to run to the bathroom. Always having an eye on where to find a bathroom?!! Or if you fall into the category of mixed, constipation alternating with diarrhea. Geez! Really don’t know what to expect!! How stressful is that.

On top of it , not sure what to eat or drink when you go out. That compounds the problem.

Isn’t it just easier staying burrowed at home, just quietly managing your gut, being close to the bathroom. Right? No, not really.

As tough as it may seem to get over to the other side, of having control over your gut to be able to enjoy the things you love, it is possible. Allowing your gut to hijack your life not acceptable.

Coming from a place of being there. Coming from a place of abdominal pain and discomfort and having built in radar for washrooms. To being in a place where I can live life without these worries and making plans!

How to get there…. Let’s talk!!!
