Happy Holidays with IBS

We are in full swing into the Holiday season and what a glorious season it is this year! Lots of social gatherings filled with food, and companionship.

What if you have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and you may feel uncertain about attending these events. Feeling anxious about the food offered? What will it do to your IBS? Not sure what to do and how to manage the eating aspect.

Does your host or organizer invite you to share food allergies, intolerances/sensitivities. if not it might be nice to mention that you do have food intolerances. Or provide a simple guidance of what you can eat when attending a house party. This will make your host happier to be aware of your food intolerance/sensitivity/allergy.

Remember not to over eat, watch what you eat, take a break and go for a walk. All good for best digestion.
